Is it really Fate or Destiny?
Ever since I was a child, I’ve been ambitious and always dreamed of becoming a doctor and this aspiration was fostered by my paternal grandparents. Not only that, my maternal grandparents encouraged me to study abroad, as no one in my family had ever taken that route for education. In 2008, when I earned my Doctoral degree in Audiology (Au. D, F-AAA) from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, USA with highest honors, it was not only a moment of pride for my whole family, but also the realization of both sets of grandparents’ wishes being fulfilled after 27 years of hard work. This journey was not an easy one- financially. But miracles do happen, and help was sent to me in a mysterious way! As the saying goes, “Believe it you deserve it and the universe will serve it for you.”
Nothing in my life came without a struggle- from delays in college admissions and graduation abroad to finding my soulmate, having kids and better opportunities at work, despite being meritorious. However, I believe in the saying –”Good things happen to those who wait” and have faith that it will be all worth it in the end.
As a planner- I had always envisioned getting married after graduation and having a child before 30. I strongly believed in “meant to be relationships” and hoped to find my soulmate one day. However, as the saying goes “Love and Life happens when you least expect it – and that’s exactly what happened to me when I found my soulmate. I have learned that timing is crucial in life- and things happen only when and how they are meant to be. Yes, my plans didn’t unfold exactly as I had envisioned and there were delays, I believe that destiny had different plans for me.
As I’ve journeyed through life, I’ve come to realize that patience, strong faith in God and divine spirituality have been the only things that have kept me going. I strongly believe in scriptures, fasting and the power of chanting Mantras and shlokas- not losing faith over God even during difficult times- knowing that it is our thoughts, actions and words that determines our fate and destiny through our karma.
Astrology & Karmic Connection!
As far as I can remember, I’ve always had a passion and deep interest in identifying personality through astrology and sun signs and I’ve always enjoyed reading tarot cards and playing with numbers. Coming from a family where astrology was a frequent topic of discussion, this inclination comes very naturally to me. Even now, my kids share my fascination with discussing planets, numbers, and outer space. I have never had a laptop without Linda Goodman’s Sun signs and compatibly app installed on it. Every time I met new people, I always found myself referencing back to Linda Goodman’s personality analysis.
So, while I had been waiting for a long time for an opportunity to advance my career, I decided to pursue my passion in astrology and make it a reality. I enrolled in a PGDIA astrology course and received certification with highest honors from the world- renowned Shree Maharishi college of Vedic Astrology in India- the land of birthplace of Astrology. While I was going through the exercise of analyzing my own natal chart, I was able to find answers to few queries which always kept me wondering- Why me? Did Saturn retrograde effect had anything to do with all the delays that happened in my life- but what was the end- result? Also- Why do I react impulsively in certain situations-is it because of my moon sign being Aries and Mars being the lord of Aries makes me react that way. Do I have a twin personality because Gemini is my Sun sign and Leo Ascendant whose lord is the Sun, made me strong, confident and passionate. And also, I figured out which planet helped me pursue my higher education and career, Jupiter. Now it all makes sense.
This exercise helped me map my destiny and understand that many of the experiences that I’ve had in my life were predetermined by my destiny. It makes me wonder if the events that happen in our lives, good or bad are not just random coincidences, but a result of our thoughts and behavior in our past lives. Could it be that the challenges we meet in life are series of tests that we were predestined to face? It often feels as if certain things were meant to happen, when a new love walks into our life at a particular time or losing a job just before a better opportunity appears, or we barely avoid an accident or a book fall into our hands that happens to answer the very question we have just been wondering about. It feels like things were supposed to occur and it makes me believe that if we keep the faith and follow the signs, path shall appear.
According to Astrology, there is a purpose to our existence and it’s not just our imagination. But what is it? Spiritual Leaders like Lord Buddha and Lord Krishna may be able to understand their past lives and their karmic path but what about us? Astrology is also known as a divine eye – as it helps people to see their path ahead. Many a times when we see health conditions in the birth chart or financial hardships that seem impossible to recover but still many people are able to overcome them miraculously. This forces me to think that destiny is not something that simply happens to us but something we actively create through our own thought, words, and actions.
It has taken me years to be where I am today in my life. Astrology, with it’s ability to reveal insights into our individual natal chart , can serve as a guide in understanding out karmic path and the challenges we are predestined to face. So, if you are ready to map your destiny with me through astrology- please feel free to reach out to me via our contact form. Ultimately, each individual has the power to shape their destiny through their own Karmas- “What goes around, comes around.”
